IBPC Meritorious Award function took place in SIMS school on 14th Dec, 2019. The awards were given to encourage as well as appreciate the achievements of our next generation. The crowds were cheering and the students getting the awards were on top of the world.
The program started at 5 pm with Meet & Greet session where the senior students, teachers & principals could meet the juniors to give their experienced advise and experience.
His Excellency Prof. Dr. Shamir Ally, Ambassador of Republic of Guyana was the chief guest, who enriched the audience with this speech full of wisdom and tips for the future. His knowledgeable words kept the 250 audiences in a reverence state. After which, Anant Kapadia, IBPC president congratulated the awardees and gave brief synopsis of the function and IBPC’s vision & objectives.
The awards were presented to Indian students under CBSE system of Class X achieving 97% aggregate and above and to Class XII with 95% aggregate and above. The awards were also presented to the 100% marks achieved in any subject scored. There were 195 awardees qualifying these criterias.The trophies were also presented to top Indian schools on their performance calculated on the basis of a weighted average system.This year the winner of X class is Fahaheel Al Wataniyah (DPS) School and Indian Educational (Bhavan’s) School for Class XII.
Among the distinguished guests, principals of various Indian schools were present and the names include Mr. V. Binumon, Mr. Prem Kumar, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, Mrs. Asha Sharma, Dr. Shoba V, Dr. Shanta Maria, Mrs. Shyamala Divakaran and Mrs. Susan Roy.Also, attendees included enthusiastic parents, students, teachers and IBPC members and their guests.
Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Sunit Arora, who coordinated this program with his efficient meritorious team.
