Hotel quarantine mandatory from Feb 21. Passenger can choose the type of hotel

Seven days institutional quarantine will be mandatory for all arrivals to Kuwait from Feb 21, 2021. This will be followed by seven days of home quarantine.

A meeting of DGCA with relevant officials finalized that the passengers arriving the country from Feb 21st must book a hotel for quarantine through Kuwait Traveler App before they reach the country. The airlines will be entrusted with making sure that travel requirements are met for those coming to the country, whether in relation to conducting a PCR examination or adopting institutional quarantine in hotels.

Coordinated efforts are taking place with relevant authorities to include all hotels in the platform.

Application of health requirements of the quarantined will be the responsibility of the hotels. Meals will be provided in closed boxes to prevent the transmission of the Corona virus. Meanwhile no fixed cost is finalized as quarantine charges. Passenger can choose form 3, 4 and 5-star hotels.

However, as of now, there are no changes yet in the status of the 35 countries from which direct arrivals are banned. Passengers from these countries have to stay for 14 days in a third country before arriving to Kuwait.

Again more burden on expatriates.
Tickets are too costly from Gcc to kuwait, then staying 14 days hotel plus food expenses.then again we have to spend 7 days hotel expenditure plus food .Really injustice.
Good move will be to remove the list of ban countries, then ask expatriates to stay in kuwait hotels and then pcr test then 7 days home quarantine. This solution is safe too..
Really burden on expatriates will be relieved to some extent.

Sincere request to Govt of Kuwait to remove 14 days stay requirement in 3rd country. Please in this difficult time of Coronavirus do not differentiate between rich & poor.
Indian govt shall do at highest level in foreign affairs ministry to convince Kuwaiti authorities for this.
