Hospitals are full; Authorities warns dangerous situation

As the increase in number of Covid infection in the country is leading to increase in hospital occupancies, high-ranking government sources warned that the epidemiological situation in the country has entered the circle of danger.

The option of banning and closing activities has entered on the official agenda if the frightening health situation continues to deteriorate in the country, local daily Al-Qabas reported quoting sources.

Many hospitals in the country are overwhelmed with the injured patients, and the number is dangerously increasing day by day. Hospitals of Al-Adan, Jahra and Farwaniya are close to reaching its top capacity, which is causing a huge burden on the medical staff who are racing against time to treat the cases of the injured and save them. Jaber Hospital receives daily 160 admissions for people with corona.

Health authorities will present a comprehensive report on Thursday, which will include the health situation in the country and the proposed solutions, either imposing of partial or full curfews, Al Qabas daily reported. Other options are to use private sector hospitals for Covid patients, Use of medical professionals from other countries and allocating separate buildings for Corona patients, the report added.
