Gafoor Moodadi - Indian Community in Kuwait lost a true photojournalist

Gafoor Moodadi was not only popular among the Keralites in Kuwait but was popular among the whole Indian community. Even though he has been fighting for his life for the past several years, Gafoor was very active in the community with his ever-smiling face.

Gafoor spent more than 25 years as a photographer in Kuwait and was working as a photographer at the Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research (KISR). During his career at KISR, Gafoor represented KISR as its official photographer at several prominent events where prominent personalities attended. In addition to his official career at KISR Gafoor was also very active in the community.

Over the years, he has captured many important events, especially for the Indian community and the Indian embassy, including visits of several Indian Ministers to Kuwait. Many of his photos were published on IndiansinKuwait.com on several occasions. His photos also decorated IIK on special occasions such as Eid, Christmas and Diwali.

As a true photojournalist, Gafoor knows the right frame for each photo. Whether it is an official ceremony or an entertainment event, Gafoor's photos always tell the story.

Even though he has been suffering from health issues for the past several years, his outlook on life was always positive.

Indian Ambassador Shri Sibi George on Sunday expressed his heartfelt condolence on the sad demise of Gafoor. "I am deeply saddened to hear the untimely demise of Shri Gafoor Moodadi.
