Drivers must adhere to speed limits on traffic signals

Drivers must adhere to the respective speed limits at the traffic lights at road intersections even if the signal is green, MoI informed. The speed limits apply to various traffic intersections on major roads. If the speed limit on that road is 45 km, the driver must adhere to this speed when passing the green light. There are intersections with different speed limits like 60 and 80 kmph.

The cameras at signal intersections photograph those who have crossed the red light and those who have exceeded the speed limit, even if the traffic light is green.

Everyone must abide by traffic rules and laws to not expose themselves to violations, MoI said.

Many people accelerate on seeing the yellow signal. They don''t realise the purpose of yellow signal is warning to slow down and stop. If you cross at yellow and cause accident you are at fault. Yellow is only to allow you time to slow down and avoid sudden brake

Why not count down timers installed in the signals here in Kuwait as most of the countries have already? It will be easy for all and no need to rush in the signals. Heart beat goes up while crossing signals in Kuwait unnecessarily....!!
