Consular service at Indian Embassy continues to remain suspended

The routine consular services at the Embassy will continue to remain suspended till 11 March 2021 as part of precautionary health measures related to COVID-19, Embassy informed in a statement.

Based on advice by concerned health authorities in Kuwait, the routine consular service will remain suspended, Embassy said.

However, emergency consular services, including death case registrations and ICWF assistance requests, will continue to be rendered by the Mission on a priority basis. Requests for emergency consular services may kindly be sent to [email protected].

Passport Services at all the three outsourced passport centers in Abbasiya, Fahaheel and Sharq, will continue to function normally, Embassy informed.

All Embassies in Kuwait are functioning normally rendering required services to their citizens . Why can’t the Indian Embassy issue the actual reason for the suspension of consular services instead of claiming its is due to advice from concerned health authorities ? Is it because there have been many cases of covid 19 infection due to laxity of controls ? When does the Embassy expect to function normally ?
