Complete curfew ends on 30th; Partial lock-down to continue

The Council of Ministers today, in its extraordinary meeting, discussed the outcome of complete curfew implemented in Kuwait. The total curfew will end on May 30th.

Kuwait Government will not extend the full curfew that is scheduled to end Saturday, May 30, and will turn to partial curfew to pave way for restoration of normal life, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh announced Monday.

The details of partial curfew and procedures for the next stage will be announced in detail this Thursday.

The cabinet entrusted Finance ministry to allocate some hotels as institutional quarantine centers for people who are infected with Corona virus. Cabinet also obliged all private companies to provide private housing for their workers who are infected with the coronavirus, with all basic needs available to them, taking into account the appropriate health requirements.

End of curfew should be understood as shift of responsibility to individuals. We have to self-curfew and take care of ourselves - maintain safe social distance, hygiene and self restraint. There is enough reports that this virus is like other viruses which we are living with. It is strong in its capability to remain hidden & in spreading even without direct close contact. But it is weak against a average-good immune system & against simple hygiene measures. And most importantly, one of the most tested & effective prevention is regular drinking of hot water and periodic steaming... Something which everyone can easily do at home. So preventing self from infection and breaking the chain of COVID spread - both are in our hands and should be followed like a social responsibility. Stay Safe & Best Wishes

Hope life returns to normal as per the next expected decision, and we are allowed to continue our employment life as all Indian expatriates along with their dependent family members and others in the nation.
