Charter flights continue to assist stranded Indian workers from Kuwait to reach India, thanks to various Indian associations and Airlines.

After a wait for almost 2 months, the first flight carrying stranded Kannadigas in Kuwait left Kuwait International Airport to Mangalore today with 165 passengers. The Jazeera Airways charter flight took off around 10:40 am from Kuwait International to land at Mangalore Airport by 5:05 pm.

Another Kuwait Airways charter flight carrying 31 Gujrat residents and 164 Rajasthani workers stranded here in Kuwait left to Ahmedabad on Tuesday night and landed at Ahmedabad today early morning.

Jazeera Airways to Mangalore was arranged by United Karnataka Associations of Kuwait in association with Akbar travels. The team thanked Karnataka State government, Government of India, Government of the State of Kuwait, Indian Embassy in Kuwait, DC office in Mangalore, entire Team Jazeera and all the Associations who collaborated and worked hard together to make this operation a success. This is the first flight to Karnataka from Kuwait.

The flight to Ahmedabad was operated by Dadabhai Travel. They also thanked the immense assistance and help of Mr Kanakmal Katara (MP of Rajasthan), Mr Shailesh Sharma (PS Mr Nitin Gadkari), Mr Dhananjay Dwivedi (IAS) and a selfless social worker Mr Dayalal Prajapathi who have lent their support to this venture in taking home the stranded workers to their home place. They had also arranged all necessary quarantine and isolation arrangements in Gujarat for a 7 days stay at no additional cost as per the requirements of the Gujarat State government.
