Keralite Engineers' Association conducted KEA Football League Season 10

The much-anticipated KEA Football League Season 10, also known as KFL – S10, took off in grand style on January 26th, 2024 as Keralite Engineers' Association (KEA)- Kuwait ( extended its signature football event to sister alumnis under the umbrella of Kuwait Engineers Forum -KEF. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the day witnessed a remarkable turnout, setting the stage for a season of intense competition and camaraderie.

The league featured a competitive lineup of teams, each vying for supremacy on the football field. The teams included Blue Pullis, Kick Blasters, Mark Rangers, Thiruvalla Reds, Venad Warriors, and White Mischief, promising an exciting display of skill and sportsmanship.

The event commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony, graced by KEA President Mr. Riyaz Salim, whose address set the tone for the tournament. KEA General Secretary welcomed the crowd, and the presence of all sister alumni presidents and chairpersons added to the significance of the occasion. KEF General Convenor, Mr. Santosh Abraham, Ex KEF General Convenor, Mr. Afzal Ali and KEF General Convenor designate Mrs. Hanan Sayed was also among other distinguished guests.

The tournament was officially declared open with the traditional release of balloons, symbolizing the soaring spirit of competition. The President and General Secretary took center stage for the ceremonial kickoff, marking the commencement of a season filled with promise and excitement.

The participating teams, boasting equal strength and determination, engaged in gripping matches that captivated the spectators. The skill and fervor displayed on the field resonated with the passionate football enthusiasts in attendance. The commissioner of the event Mr. Suresh Elais announced the winners and player’s of each match.

Match 1 - Thiruvalla Reds vs. White Mischief: Sarath's prowess on the field during the opening match between Thiruvalla Reds and White Mischief earned him the first Man of the Match title. His exceptional skills and contributions set the stage for a remarkable tournament.

Match 2 - Kick Blasters vs. Mark Rangers: In the second match, Nimesh of Mark Rangers showcased a stellar performance against Kick Blasters, securing the Man of the Match title. Nimesh's outstanding contributions demonstrated his prowess and impact on the field.

Match 3 - Thiruvalla Reds vs. Venad Warriors: Sarath's stellar run continued as he once again claimed the Man of the Match title in the match between Thiruvalla Reds and Venad Warriors. His consistency and remarkable play solidified his reputation as a standout player.

Match 4 - Blue Pullis vs. Mark Rangers: Sahil's standout performance for Blue Pullis against Mark Rangers earned him the Man of the Match title. Sahil's contributions, both in offense and defense, played a crucial role in Blue Pullis' success.

Match 5 - White Mischief vs. Venad Warriors: The clash between White Mischief and Venad Warriors saw Shehin's remarkable display of skills, earning him the Man of the Match title. Shehin's standout performance added excitement to the encounter.

Match 6 - Blue Pullis vs. Kick Blasters: Nithin's exceptional efforts for Blue Pullis against Kick Blasters earned him the Man of the Match title. Nithin's noteworthy contributions were instrumental in Blue Pullis' victory.

Semifinal 1 - Thiruvalla Reds vs. Mark Rangers: Nikhil's outstanding performance for Thiruvalla Reds against Mark Rangers secured him the Man of the Match title. Nikhil's skillful play and strategic moves contributed significantly to Thiruvalla Reds' success.

Semifinal 2 - White Mischief vs. Blue Pullis: Sujith's standout defense for White Mischief against Blue Pullis earned him the Man of the Match title. Sujith's resilience and strategic play were key to White Mischief's success.

Thiruvalla Reds and White Mischief emerged as the top contenders, eventually locking horns in a fiercely contested final. Thiruvalla Reds clinched victory with a goal in the second half, securing their place as the champions of KFL – S10. Sarath's consistent brilliance reached its pinnacle as he once again claimed the Man of the Match title in the encounter between Thiruvalla Reds and White Mischief. This remarkable feat secured him the well-deserved title of Player of the Tournament.

Despite falling short in the final, White Mischief's game was nothing short of extraordinary, captivating the crowd and earning admiration from both spectators and referees earning them titles in every category. The best forward player was awarded to Shehin from White Mischief for his exceptional performance throughout the tournament, showcasing his prowess in the attacking zone. The award for the best midfield player rightfully went to Vipin from White Mischief for stellar contributions in the midfield, demonstrating his control and strategic play. Sujit from White Mischief earned the award of the best defense player with his outstanding defensive skills and the exceptional goalkeeping prowess of Mebbin from White Mischief did not go unnoticed, as he secured the title of the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

The ladies and kids of KEA added a touch of entertainment to the event with a spectacular flash mob, showcasing their talent and providing a lively interlude for the crowd.

Mr. Shejir Pally, the Special Event Convenor, under whose leadership the entire event unfolded, expressed heartfelt gratitude in the vote of thanks. His efforts, along with the dedication of the organizing team, contributed significantly to the success of KFL – S10.
