ICSK celebrated the success of its ACCA students in grandeur in a splendid & dignified award ceremony at Hilton Resorts Kuwait on 13th December 2022. Along with students and parents the function was graced by the luminaries from industry, academia, diplomacy and the commercial sectors.

The students achieved a professional milestone by completing their Diploma, Degree, and full ACCA qualifications. They are set to achieve further milestones in the career of Business & Finance through ACCA qualification.

The event was inaugurated by a soul soothing recitation of Holy Quran by Master Basil followed by the National anthems of Kuwait and Croatia. As an expression of gratitude and as a gesture of seeking the blessings of the Lord Almighty, an invocation song was performed by Ms. Megha Johnson.

Senior Administrator and Principal Dr. V Binumon delivered an inspiring message on being focused and determined and solemnly welcomed the eminent guests. The chief guest of the occasion was Mr. Auntun Mahnic, Deputy Chief of Mission from the Embassy of Republic of Croatia. He was accompanied by Mr. Tony Skinner, Director, British Council Kuwait, Mr. Masud ul Hasan Khalid, Chief Financial Officer, Commercial Bank of Kuwait, Mr. Keshav Maheshwari, Managing Director, Allen Overseas, Mr. Yusuf Chorghay, Deputy Chief Investment Banking, Warba Bank, Mr. Irtaza Hassan Sheikh, Manager, Internal Audit, AL Ghanim Industries, Mr. Anjum Masood ,Principal, International School of Pakistan, Kuwait and Ms Suchitra Sen, Head of Examination/Business development at Britsih Council. Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman, BOT, ICSK, Mr. Amer Mohammed, Hon. Secretary, BOT, Mr. Agnello Fernandes Jt. Secretary, BOT, Principals, Vice – Principals and Deputy Vice – Principal of various branch schools of ICSK, parents, students and staff of ICSK.

Mr. K, Gangadhar Shirsath Principal ICSK- Khaitan addressed the audience with the detailed journey of ACCA in ICSK which started with a vision of the Chairman Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman and now witnesses the pinnacle of success. Since ICSK embarked this journey in 2018, hundreds of students have completed their Diploma, four students, Alpha Susan Jaimon, Lave Cleto Joanes, Afreen Ara and Malesa Rodrigues have been awarded with a degree in B.Sc. Accounting from University of Oxford Brookes UK. Two students, Alpha Susan Jaimon and Megha Johnson added one more feather to their caps. The former, by attaining the highest marks in Kuwait, in the Strategic Business Reporting (SBR), and the latter by scoring the highest marks in the Middle East Region in the Audit and Assurance [AA] of the ACCA examination. Master Thomson Babu hit the jackpot by completing all his 13 papers and has become an ACCA affiliate at an age less than 20 years. Mr. Gangadhar applauded the achievement of the students and acknowledged their journey distinct from their counterparts.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony Mr. Auntun Mahnic, Deputy Chief of Mission to Kuwait, Republic of Croatia congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to pursue higher education in Croatia. Mr. Tony Skinner, Director British Council Kuwait, distinguished Guest of Honour appreciated the unique integrated pattern of ACCA education run by ICSK. He said that it has enriched students with professional skills in Audit, Taxation, Accounting at early age for stepping into industry. He also congratulated the school for introducing the IGCSE curriculum which will complement to ACCA education greatly. He congratulated the awardees and assured their support from British Council for educational activities. The audience was taken aback by Mr. Irtaza Hassan who narrated his personal experiences to inspire the young children and thereafter familiarized the audience with the need of ethical practices at workplace in the financial industry.

The Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, Bosnia has sent his special video recorded message to congratulate and assure his maximum possible assistance to students of ICSK in their further studies in terms of special scholarship.

The next part of the Ceremony, the students were awarded ACCA Certificates and mementos by the distinguished guests. Each student received a stirring applause from the audience.

Mr. Aqeel Khan and Mr. Shafqat Hussain, ACCA mentors, the tireless teachers, who helped the students realize their dreams, shared their journey in guiding these students and inspired them to dream big and continue with dedication and perseverance.

Ms. Ruth Ann Toby winner of the Super 4 reality show mesmerized the audience by her beautiful song.

The distinguished guests were thanked for their inspiring presence and felicitated with mementos by the ICSK Management. ICSK management also presented the token of appreciation to the commendable ACCA Mentors, Mr. Aqeel Khan and Mr. Shafqat Hussain and Mr. Tasadduq for their dedicated efforts which aided the students to attain these laurels. Ms. Musarrat Parkar and Ms. Bhavyata Awasthi, coordinators of ACCA and Ms. Sharanya from ICSK were felicitated along with Mr. Ayaz and Ms. Sadiya from International School of Pakistan for their valuable contributions in the execution of this grand event.

It was followed by a photo session with esteemed guests and the awardees.

The program concluded finally with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Musarrat Parkar, Head of Department of Commerce, ICSK.”. Many commit but few deliver, ICSK once again proved it's best performance in its mission to educate the society at the minimum possible cost.” Said Mrs. Musarrat to culminate this grand occasion.

Finally, the spectacular ceremony came to an end with sumptuous banquet and the young awardees set their new goals and new milestones to achieve.
