Koottickal is situated in the high range area of Kerala and on the last year 2021 October, due to the heavy flood and land sliding many of the peoples lost their life and many of them lost their houses and agricultural land .It was a horrible seen that land and houses were wiped out by the heavy flood on this area.

Kuwait Catholic Congress, an organization of the Syro-Malabar community residing in the state of Kuwait has decided to join the reconstruction of Koottickal flood-ravaged area with the cooperation of Diocese of Palai and make new houses for the poor peoples of the flood victims who lost their residence and assets. Mr. Roshy Augustine , Honorable minister to the Water resources department , Government of Kerala has Inaugurated the charity activities of the Koottickal KCC housing scheme at Kuwait and named it as “Sneha Bhavana Construction Project of KCC”

Mr. Anto Mathew Kumbilumoottil , KCC President presided the meeting and Mr. Mathew Jose Chempathil Vattapillil , General secretary delivered the welcome speech and Mr. Paul Paikattu , Treasurer extended the vote of thanks . Mr. Benny Puthen , Mr. Jimson Mathew , Convenors of the scheme were coordinated the function. Mr. Jaison Pereppadan -Social committee convenor ,Mr. Binoy Varghese-Cultural committee convenor, Roy John Poovathinkal, Shins Kurian , Sunil Sonny veliyathumalil, delivered the felicitation speeches.

Minister Roshy Augustine congratulated the charity activities and the decisions of the Kuwait catholic congress to build the houses for the poor peoples who lost everything on the flood .
