ICSK Senior Celebrates the Educational Fanfare with GYANOTSAV 2022

The Indian Community School (Senior), Kuwait celebrated the educational fair GYANOTSAV - 2022 on 28th September 2022 which saw our students showcase their innovative skills in multiple fields of the 29 departments in our school.

Dr. Mohammad Hussain Dashti, Senior Registrar & Urologist of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, Kuwait was the Chief Guest. The Guest was received by Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman (Honorary Chairman of the Board of Trustees), Mr. Azharuddin Amer Mohammed (Honorary Secretary of the Board of Trustees) and Dr. V Binumon (Principal and Senior Administrator, ICSK). The Chief Guest was respectfully escorted to the school auditorium by the school band playing the welcome note.Mr. Rajesh Nair (Principal - ICSK Amman), Sr. Christy Maria (Principal of Carmel School, Kuwait), Dr. Prashant Vasudev (Principal of Gulf Indian School, Kuwait), Dr. Pradap Felix M (Principal of New Gulf Indian School, Kuwait), Dr. Achuthan Madhav (Principal of Jabriya Indian School, Kuwait), Mrs. Lucy A Cherian (Principal of Indian Public School, Kuwait), and Sr. Saritha Monteiro (Vice Principal of Carmel School, Kuwait) graced the occasion.

The inaugural ceremony began with Islamic Prayer by Ms. Shifa Mariam. This was followed by the melodious prayer song by the School Choir, Swaranjali. The gathering honoured the National Anthems of Kuwait and India.

Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK, delivered the welcome address. He said that the exhibition was held to provide a platform for children to display their knowledge, creativity, investigative skills and talent. It also boosts their confidence when they get appreciation for their creative talent. He appreciated the efforts taken by the teachers and students for their putting up a grand event. He also asked the students to keep up the enthusiasm throughout their life. He welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. Mohammad Hussain Dashti, Senior Registrar & Urologist of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, Kuwait to the grand occasion of Gyanotsav. He welcomed the Chairman and Vice Chairman of ICSK, the Principals and Vice Principals of different schools in Kuwait, the teachers and the students to the educational extravaganza.

Dr. Mohammad Hussain Dashti, Senior Registrar & Urologist of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, Kuwait officially inaugurated Gyanotsav 2022 by lighting the lamp.
In the inaugural speech he said to the students that the road to success is not easy, you may find many obstacles but hard work, dedication and motivation will make your goal look easy. The biggest motivator is yourself, if you are self-motivated nobody can stop you from reaching your goal. He concluded his speech by reminding the students that success is not final failure is not fatal it is the courage to continue that counts.
Dr. Mohammad Hussain Dashti, Senior Registrar & Urologist of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, Kuwait inaugurated the Logo of Radio Muse, the Campus Radio, an initiative by the Department of Mass Media. A token of love was gifted to the chief guest by the Honourable Chairman Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman (Honorary Chairman of the Board of Trustees).


The Music Band of ICSK presented a melodious fusion song. The euphonious performance captivated the audience. Ms. Ruth Ann Toby, Super 4 Junior sensation, lit up the room by singing a fantabulous and mind blowing song. The Dance Team of ICSK won the hearts of the audience with their lively steps. This was intermingled with the mesmerizing fashion show by the Department of Fashion Studies.Mrs. Mussarat Parkar, the Project Director of Gyanotsav delivered the vote of thanks. She thanked the Chief Guest, the Board of Trustees, the Principals and Vice Principals from various schools in Kuwait for their esteemed presence for the inaugural ceremony. She also thanked the Principal, Vice Principal, Deputy Vice Principal, Teachers and Students for their valuable presence.

The fair was open from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm for different schools in Kuwait. More than 3000 students from various schools visited ICSK along with their teachers and principal to see the innovative projects of the young minds of ICSK. One of the students opined that he hadn’t seen these many varieties of projects and subjects in any educational fair. One educator said, “It’s really a great effort from the part of the students and teachers to put up such a big educational fair. I appreciate all the teachers and students.”

The evening session from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm was open to all the parents, guardians and relatives of the students of ICSK. The parents felt proud of the works of students and they didn’t show any hesitation in appreciating the great works of the students and gave a positive feedback on the same. There were many commercial stalls which were set up in the courtyard by various departments for a noble cause. The money collected by these commercial stalls will be donated for charity. The works of the students of ICSK was evaluated by learned judges. The students detailed the idea of their projects and the judges were very much impressed with the way they presented it.

The best three exhibits from each category were honoured with prizes and certificates. All the participants were given participation certificates. The best three departments were also presented with prizes. The event provided a perfect platform for explorations and motivation for the future innovators. “Genius is when an idea and the execution of that idea are simultaneous” - Albert Einstein
