Celebration of colours at KIS

Colours are the smiles of nature which directly influences our feelings and soul. Colours play an essential role in our lives. Young children love colours. Children have an intuitive affinity to acknowledge their world around them through colours. Colours seize their eyes and clutch their attention.

Identification and learning colours are such an important part of every child’s early education. Kuwait Indian school Kindergarten students celebrated Colours Day. KIS eclectic the best way to teach tiny tots about colours is to pick a new colour each week and completely focus on that colour. KIS Kindergarten Teachers induced the counting skills, pre- reading skills, social skills and new words along with colours as a basic theme under the invaluable motivation of KIS Principal Mrs.Sabahat Khan.

Young children relished the beauty of colours by frequent exposure of one selected colour each week. To substantiate the colours theme, all the kindergarten students dressed in respective colour on the first day of colour week. Indoor and outdoor games geared to identify the colours and match with surrounding.

On red colour week – the children enjoyed with watermelon and paper rose flower activities. Students were assembled in letter ‘R’ in physical education hour under the guidance and support of PT teacher and Mr. John.

Blue colour week accomplished by wearing artistic, and attractive cloud hats and eye masks. Students brought blue colour toys from home.
