Kuwait beat Qatar by 9 wickets in the ongoing Gulf T20i Women’s Championship in Muscat.

QATAR 73 all out in 18.2 overs KUWAIT 74 / 1 in 13.5

Kuwait Women’s Team bowled & fielded exceptionally well throughout the batting innings of Qatar holding on to every single catch and capitalizing on all the opportunities of potential run outs as well. The sheer hard work and efforts put in by the coaching staff and senior leadership team of Kuwait Women’s Cricket was evident in the game against Qatar and it was heartening to see the “give it all” approach from each & every single member of the Kuwait Women’s team.

Maryam Omar of Kuwait was the star all round performer of the match picking up 4 wickets with her off spinners and scoring 40 runs not out during the chase with 6 classy boundaries and was deservingly declared the player of the match.

Skipper Amna Tariq & senior player Mariyam Hyder took two wickets each and vice captain Priyada Murali stood tall with Maryam Omar during the chase scoring 24 runs with two boundaries.

Kuwait has now won 2 out of their 3 games in the Gulf T20i Women’s Championship and will take on Oman 🇴🇲 tomorrow at 8:30am Kwt time followed by Bahrain the following day in their last game of the championship.

Wishing our girls all the very best for their match against Oman tomorrow.
