‘When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.’

An old saying, giving the message of optimism! However the lesson given to the Bhavans Smart Indian School’s kindergarten section was a little different than the usual!!

Lemonade Day was conducted on Thursday, 3 June 2021 during the class hours in MS Teams classrooms for the Kindergarten Kids. Instead of optimism on focus, this time it was solely on celebrating the fruit itself and hence all its health benefits were taught to the little students. The method followed to do so was as usual, a freshly squeezed glass of lemonade because what other better way to welcome summer than a perfectly chilled glass of lemonade!

The students were instructed by their teachers to make lemonade under the supervision of their teachers. The students excitedly presented their glasses, the teachers informed them about the amazing health benefits and biological importance of a lemon and the huge stores of vitamin C present in it.

Ms. Rajni Menon, KG Supervisor stated that the beauty of this celebration is to learn the health benefits of lemonade and encourage others too, she concluded her short speech with a statement that life is beautiful when we share.

Mr. Mahesh Iyer, the principal of Smart Indian School gave a short concluding speech on Lemonade Day celebration requesting everyone to stay healthy and joyful and appreciated all the teachers, students of the KG department for conducting this fun but experiential activity.
