Six-year-old Indian child Sadhika, who was taken to Delhi AIIMS in a special Airforce flight during the corona pandemic lockdown in Kuwait, lost her life on Friday, December 11th.
It was in March 2020 when Sadhika's father Ratheesh came to know that his daughter needs urgent medical treatment. She was under treatment at the Kuwait Cancer centre. When the parents were about to take her to India for further treatment, the pandemic came, and the Kuwait airport closed indefinitely.
With special permission from Central government with the help of Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan, Meenakshi Lekhi MP and VK Sreekantan MP and the Indian Embassy, Sadhika was taken to Delhi in a special Indian Airforce flight from Kuwait. Later she was shifted to Trivandrum Cancer Center. She took her last breath there on Friday evening.
