Carmel Celebrates Children’s Day

From the hustle and bustle of our daily routine especially in this present situation, a day was set aside to celebrate children’s day which brought forth the message that every child is a miracle and a gift from God.

Solemnity, entertainment and Nostalgia – it was the perfect concoction for a splendid celebration, the 12th of November 2020 to commemorate the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

The cumulative hard work, the zeal and enthusiasm of the management and staff kept our students enthralled.

The Primary section showed their warmth and affection towards the children through a cultural extravaganza with a plethora of activities like group songs and a skit taking them to a world of fantasy. The much awaited games were unique and though played by all from the confines of their own homes, generated great competitive spirit in them. The middle school presented a humorous animation skit titled ‘Virtual Mix-Up bringing out the importance of virtual teaching.

Surely you can carry a great lamp within yourself, it is the light of life that God has given us to guide and direct our path. a symbol of hope and promise. This message was conveyed by the High School through a meticulously designed storyline The Legend of the lamp which took them to a whole new world.

The scintillating dances, and songs against the most beautiful backdrops were incorporated into the movie which was a treat to the eye. ‘When Will I See You Again’ took our students through a nostalgic journey along the portals of Carmel which brought a smile to their face and a tear in their eye.

The Carmel programme was replete with performances ranging from dances across the seven seas, songs, online games, quizzes, a trip down memory lane, magic carpet ride, all truly mesmerizing. The students were overwhelmed by the power point presentation taking them down memory lane.

After months of planning and hardwork, the outcome indeed reflected the love rooted in the heart of the teachers for their students.

The programme ended with the enlightened words of our Principal Sr. Christy Maria, who congratulated the teachers for their commendable performances.

She also focused on the significance of the day and gave a brief insight into the life of Carlo Acutis igniting the flame of spirituality and a path for our youth to follow.

‘The most precious thing in this world is a smile on the face of a child’.

Happy children’s day. You’re so special to us!
