The Ministry of Trade and Industry announced that 405 used tires have been seized in Al Jahra Governorate and is referred them to the competent authorities.
Authorities said in a press statement that the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Department had seized a shop selling used tires in violation of Law No. 214/14 on the ban on importing or selling used tires.
Authorities called on the consumers not to buy such tires as they may endanger their lives due to their explosion in the summer.
