12 expats arrested for protesting

The security men arrested 12 Egyptian expatriates for abusing the security men.

According to Al Anba Arabic daily, a crowd of about 60 expatriates gathered at the manpower departments in Abu Fatira as they had not received their salaries for several months.

The security men arrived at the protest site and found out that the expatriates were working with government contracts and did not receive their salaries.

The Brigadier General of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, Brigadier General Mubarak Marji listened to the complaints from the expatriate workers and assured that the matter would be taken up by the Manpower authority and provided a bus for the protesting expatriates to return back to their place of stay.

Thank you for english lesson. But where does the article explain how the security men were abused? Clearly, the writer or the source need to improve their writing technique. The article does not explain at which point the workers abused the security staff or if the abuse was verbal or physical.

First line says the workers abused security men. But the whole article explains how the whole incident unfolded peacefully. Where is the problem?
