Idukki Association Kuwait (IAK) Conducted Mega Onam Celebration “Onanilavu -2019”

Idukki Association Kuwait conducted Mega Onam Celebration namely “Onanilavu 2019" on 04th October 2019 Friday at Nottingham British School Abbasiya from 9.00AM till 6.30PM.

Famous South Indian film actor and singer Mr.ManojK.Jayan inaugurated the mega event. Indian Embassy delegate Mr. P.P. Narayanan (First Secretary - community welfare) addressed the members. The event was distinguished due to the presence of house full audience and leaders of various District / Cultural organizations and well known industrial personalities etc... Thalappoli, Chendamelam and Pulikali etc.. were added more color to the celebrations.

The event was organized in two segments, where the first segment started at 10.00 AM which included the cultural performances of members and traditional onamsadya served in banana leaves winded up at 2.00PM, followed by the second segment which was the Mega Musical Program “Mansoon Beats” lead by Mr. Manoj K.Jayan and Ms. Soumya Sanathanan, who is a well known Malayalam music director and play back singer. Ms.Soumya is also popular for her knowledge in using around 12 musical instruments and being the first one who did the Acapliia Cover in Malayalam. The musical shower “Mansoon Beats” taken the audience to the peak level of enjoyment.

President Mr.Sunil Kumar presided the public meeting, while General Secretary Mr.Jose Thomas welcomed the gathering. Mr.Sunil Kumar explained the recent activities of Idukki Association Kuwait, including its housing project named “Sahodaranu OruVeedu”, as a part of which the first house was handed over successfully in the month of May 2019 and construction of second house is already started. He expressed heartful thanks to one and all who are co-operating with this project. Vanithavedhi Chairperson Smt. Shamla Biju was present in the dias.

Treasurer Mr.Bijoy Kurian expressed vote of thanks. Mr.ManojK.Jayan presented the prize to the winner s of Tik-Tok competition conducted as a part of Onanilavu 2019. Vice president Mr Tom Edayodi , Joint treasure Mr Ajish Lukose , executive /advisory board members controlled the whole event.
