I was there; overlooking two paths,
knowing not, which one to pass.
As I set eyes on what lie further ahead,
I took the trail which was brick red.
I was glad I took that path,
And I’m here feeling knowledge hath.
It was you who guided me,
It was you who polished me.
You not only taught me,
You made my day, every day.
A teacher shows you what’s right,
A tutor makes you bright.
I’m glad I can spend this day with you,
Your day, a teacher’s day.
And to ever think that I can repay you,
It would take a miracle.
