We, humans are one of the most intelligent species ever and have the ability to acquire exceptional knowledge. There have been many great minds in the history of mankind but most of these minds are shaped by a great teacher. A teacher is undoubtedly the most essential person in our society and is looked up to by hundreds of children. In other words, a teacher is like a compassionate guardian who guides you through every step you take in your life. Teachers nurture and educate their students with all their heart expecting nothing in return but respect. Without teachers, humans wouldn’t be educated anymore and the intellectual capacity of humans would rapidly fall.

Knowledge would be scarce within our species and a world without knowledge only leads to nothing but a disaster. Teachers are not only important to us but to our whole planet as most of our population would not have any idea about global warming, deforestation, pollution etc if not for our wonderful teachers. Our tender and affectionate educators take loads of time to help us understand how the world works and guide us to improve on oneself. The everlasting dedication and passion of teachers helps students all around the world to accomplish and chase their dreams. Teachers day is extremely significant, as today is the day we should applaud and appreciate teachers all around the world for their diligent and conscientious efforts in educating young minds. In India, teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th September in the reminiscence of yet another extraordinary and famous teacher called Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who was also the first vice president and the second president of India.

The teacher I most admire is my incredible ninth grade Physics and chemistry teacher. Her main objective was to make her students understand Physics and chemistry and not just mug up the whole syllabus. This gave me a whole new holistic perspective to science and motivated me to learn more. She made science wonderful by providing us with challenging problems that helped us think outside the box. She definitely made a huge impact on my life and I really thank her for it!

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression & knowledge.”- Albert Einstein. Albert Einstein is definitely right, a world without teachers would be awfully dull and disastrous. So, on this special occasion, let’s all respect and show love to our spectacular and hardworking teachers! Happy teachers’ day to each and every amazing teacher out there!
