World Book Day was celebrated at Indian Central School on Tue, 23 April 2024 which was a testament to the power of story telling and a reminder of the transformative impact that reading has on young minds. A Book Review Competition was held for Classes IV to XII encouraging students to explore the vast world of literature and nurture a generation of lifelong readers and learners.
The wide array of Books reviewed reflected the varied interests and tastes of students from fantasy and adventure to mystery and science fiction. The Youngsters discussed their favourite Books from a palette as diverse as Enid Blyton, Grimms Fairy Tales, APJ Abdul Kalam, Tagore, Lewis Carrol, RK Narayan, Dickens and JK Rowling being the faves.
The Event was a resounding success and wound up with the rapt audience vastly appreciating English literature and a commitment to continue their literary Odessey beyond World Book Day.
