Shukran Kuwait

Wednesday, February 19, 2020

On these auspicious days, Kuwait's National and Liberation Day, I would like to pay my gratitude and best wishes for the nation, my second house, which has provided love and respect as my motherland India.

First, I would like to thank Kuwait. I came here when I was 1 year old, since then it has turned to be my second home.

Kuwait is a constitutional sovereign state with a semi-democratic political system, has a high-income economy backed by the world's 6th largest oil reserves. As well the Kuwait Dinar is the highest valued currency in the world. Oil reserves were discovered in commercial quantities in 1938. The crude oil was exported for the first time in 1946.

India-Kuwait relationships are bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of India and the state of Kuwait. The two countries share friendly ties. There are many Indian schools in Kuwait which are providing education to many Indian and foreign students. All these schools are affiliated to CBSE and follow CBSE curriculum. Many Indian students are pursuing higher studies in different Universities in Kuwait.

Indians are more in the Kuwait, with their presence in white-collar jobs in electronic, industrial and engineering sector. Significant presence of Indians are available in medical field too.

India-Kuwait relationship are good in trade too. India has consistently been among the top 10 trading partners of Kuwait. India is the biggest importer of oil from Kuwait. India exports food products, tea and spices to Kuwait. India has also signed several agreements related to scientific and technology in cooperation with Kuwait.

I have spent good time in India too, during vacations. I am happy in sharing my love on both the countries, as well learning the culture of both the nations.
Thank you Kuwait.
