Ambassador's Message

Wednesday, February 23, 2022

On behalf of the Government and the 1.3 billion people of the Republic of India, and the Indian community in Kuwait, I extend my heartiest greetings to the leadership, the Government, and the people of the friendly State of Kuwait on the happy occasion of National Day and Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait.

I take this opportunity to convey my heartiest greetings and best wishes for the continued good health and personal wellbeing of His Highness Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah; His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah; and His Highness the Prime Minister, and warm, festive greetings to the friendly people of the State of Kuwait.

Our excellent bilateral relationship now extends beyond the centuries-old historical and cultural linkages to encompass political, trade, economic and vibrant people-to-people ties. This year when we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between India and Kuwait, our relationship has evolved into a long standing dynamic partnership. This year’s National Day celebrations are of particular significance for Indians in Kuwait as it comes on the occasion of 75th anniversary year of India’s Independence. We look forward to celebrating India in Kuwait every day during 2022-23.

India remains committed to working closely with Kuwait in enhancing our bilateral cooperation in all spheres including in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic. I pray for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of the State of Kuwait.

I thank our Kuwaiti friends for all the love, warmth and care they extend to the Indian Community in Kuwait.
