From hot to cold,
It was a mark to be made,
A foot print that’ll always stay.
It was a daring mission,
An ambition to be fulfilled.

All were thrilled,
It was their moment
To prove themselves,
As worthy of this,
An opportunity they couldn’t miss.

A mark that couldn’t be wiped
By the winds of the time,
It was an imprint;
Not just on the moon,
But in everyone’s heart.

It couldn’t be forgotten,
For it was well earned and gotten.
It is still remembered;
And many has it inspired;
A mark made for ever.
