India is known for the Festivals, Brotherhood and the way people from different religions live together and celebrate festivals together but now our country is also known for the development of digital technology. To educate people in India about digital technology, our PM, Mr. Narendra Modi launched the campaign called “DIGITAL INDIA” on 1st July 2015. Its objective was to promote inclusive growth in the areas of electronic services, products, manufacturing and job opportunities. He ensures that the benefits of the digital revolution reach to all the citizens of the country.

The third Indian revolution which is also known as the Digital Revolution has brought a lot of changes in our life. For example taxi drivers, shopping centers etc. They use PAYTM, GOOGLE PAY, APPLE PAY etc.. for their payments. Due to which India retains 49th position among the 64 economies in the World Digital Competitiveness Ranking (WDCR).

Before Digital Technology was introduced in India, the common people faced a lot of problems like natural disasters such as flood and cyclones which are common in India. Public safety, crime and violence are major concerns for common people in India. Owing to the advanced technology and with the help of AI we can predict and be precocious for any such disasters or emergencies. CCTV cameras installed in malls and public areas to ensure the safety of the citizens and they also help us to investigate crimes. There are also a lot of benefits of technology such as Ola and Uber. It provides their passengers AC and Non AC taxi services at a cheaper fare. These taxi services assure us that we reach our desired locations through their mobile applications. It provides us much needed comfort with cheap fare. The government launched an application for the Aadhaar card called the E Aadhaar card which is another example of the benefits of technology. It is a password protected electronic copy of Aadhaar, which is digitally signed by the authority of UIDAI. It contains a copy of your Aadhaar card.

India has a huge future in the mobile and internet world. There are around 931 million smartphone users and there are 692 million internet users in India. India is getting developed in AI and technology. One of the signs is that Indian smartphone users are using 4G networks. India has also launched 5G network services in India, New Delhi on 1st of October. Due to the lack of time we can receive money and transfer money through smartphone applications within a few minutes which saves a lot of time.

In conclusion, the last decade has totally transformed India totally when it comes to advancements in digital technology. Our country is one of the forerunners in terms of development and implementing new technologies for the benefit of the common man.
