India's advancement in Digital Technology for the common man

Digital India was an initiative taken by the Government of India for providing high-speed internet networks to rural areas. Digital India Mission was launched by PM Narendra Modi on 1st July 2015 as a beneficiary to other government schemes including Make in India, Bharatmala, Sagarmala, Startup India, BharatNet, and Standup India. The Indian Government launched the Digital India campaign to make government services available to citizens electronically by online infrastructure improvement and by enhancing internet connectivity. It also aims to empower the country digitally in the domain of technology.

Since its inception in 2015, the Digital India initiative has influenced several areas: In rural areas, some 12000 postal service branches have been electronically linked. India’s electronic manufacturing industry has benefited from the Make – In – India initiative. By 2025, the Digital India strategy might increase GDP by $1 trillion. The healthcare and education sectors have also seen increase inactivity. The economic growth will benefit from improved web infrastructure.

India has been evolving digitally since long and especially with the advent of Jio since 2016, it has been an internet revolution in India. People in the poorest of the villages have dual-sim mobile phones now with easy access to the Internet. They are also learning how to use UPI payment apps such as BHIM/postal payment Banks. Smartphone sales have increased drastically and almost every Indian jumped from 2G/3G to 4G.

India's efforts on technology are increasingly embedded in wider capacity-building that's directly contributing to knowledge creation in the short run, offering viable economies for departments beyond science ministries to aggressively explore technological opportunities. This campaign has made the country digitally empowered in the area of technology. The regulated government of India has made its grounds for making the availability of government services electronically. It has helped in reducing tax rates, eliminating multiple-point taxation, and developing revenues. Essentially, a uniform tax system has made India a common market and expanded trade, business, and export. We can reduce our efforts and time to do work for a large time due to digitalization we can do payments and withdrawals money from the bank and we can transfer money from one person to another person within seconds. The usage of technology increased, and the literacy rate of the people also increased.
