India’s Technological Development in the Last Few Years

Our country India got independence from British on 15th August 1947 . After India got independence from British, our country became a republic where the country is ruled by elected representatives. In its 75 years of independence, India had several achievements to its credit. It has built a modern economy, lifted millions out of poverty, had become a space and nuclear power and developed s robust foreign policy.

Here are the top most important developments in India’s journey since independence.

· Right to vote: From the very first day after independence India gave every adult the right to vote.
· Railway network nationalisation: Railway network was nationalized in 1951. Now it is one of the world’s largest railway networks.
· Asia’s first nuclear reactor: India designed and built Asia’s first nuclear reactor Apsara nuclear reactor on August 4, 1956.
· Green Revolution: The green revolution in India in 1960 saw an increase in food grain production.
· White Revolution: In 1970, India saw the White Revolution — the world’s biggest dairy development program, it transformed India from a milk deficient nation into the world’s largest milk producer.

· First Indian satellite made: India designed first space satellite in 1975, named it after astronomer Aryabhatta.
· RTI act: The RTI act was passed by Parliament in 2005, helping people to acquire any information.
· Chandrayaan I: India successfully launched Chandrayaan I on October 2008 to explore the moon.
· First indigenous nuclear submarine: On July 26, 2009 INS Arihant launched armed with ballistic missiles with a range of 3,500 km
· Mars orbiter mission: On November 5, 2014 Indian Space Research Organization successfully launched Mars orbiter mission to probe Mars and the first nation in the world to do so in its first attempt.

· Mission Shakti: On March 27, 2019, India conducted Mission Shakti an ants missile test that could destroy satellite in space through missiles on the ground.
There is no doubt that India had made tremendous progress!
