Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869, in Porbandar, India. Gandhiji helped to get freedom for India. He followed non-violence. He is honoured by India as the “Father of the Nation”. Karamchand Gandhi is Gandhiji’s father, and his mother’s name is Putlibai. Nathuram Godse killed Gandhiji in a prayer meeting. He died with “Hey Ram” as his last words. We are proud of our leader Mahatma Gandhi.
