India is one of the leaders in technological advancement globally. It is very clear that in the last five years India has been developing despite all the hurdles in the way. The COVID-19 pandemic put in a little bit of a stopper to the advancements in our nation, but displayed very well India’s potential. India was an absolute front-runner in COVID-19 medications. India was one of the biggest manufacturers of COVID-19 vaccines. Digitalization in India reached its peak in the last five years, having digitalized everything from banking to medical necessities. So many different applications have been introduced like: Gpay, Aarogya Setu, etc. Circling back to the COVID-19 pandemic, diagnosis for virus, vaccination certificates, prescriptions and lab reports were done through the CoWIN application. CoWIN application was a revolutionary step in India’s fight against the pandemic. S. Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister of India, recalls a time after relaxation of travel restrictions, where he discovered that the citizens of US carried rather inconvenient, worn out physical pieces of paper as their vaccination certificates. He tells his audience of how he revelled in the realization of just how technologically advanced India is. The CoWIN platform brought a sense of certainty and safeness throughout the pandemic. The Biotechnological department of India proved crucial to the entire world. They provided crucial vaccines, got them approved and continued manufacturing and supplying them globally. ISRO is undoubtedly a main division in India’s development. Recently in the last five years, the most talked about program has to be the Gaganyaan Program . This was another example of how India wished to advance and contribute towards space exploration. This program will consist of 2 unmanned and 1 manned descent into LEO, Low Earth Orbit. It’s the small steps we Indians, and the government take as nation towards the betterment of our nation.
