Our country India is one of the most popular countries in the world. It is the 7th largest country in the world and also the second most populous country in the world. It is the largest democracy in the world. India has many cultures, languages, and religions because of this many people think that the people of India would always be angry at each other because of their differences. But it’s the complete opposite which leads us to our next topic:
Unity in Diversity
Unity in Diversity teaches all humans and living beings to be united while ignoring the differences between them. Our country India is a brilliant example of Unity in Diversity. There is more than a billion people in India who come from different religions, castes, cultures etc. who have been living together for centuries. This is why people call India, the country of Unity in Diversity. Now let’s jump into our new topic:
Her Many Faiths
The major religions of India are Hinduism (majority religion), Islam (largest minority religion), Sikhism, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism, and Judaism. India is a land where people of different religions and cultures live in harmony. This harmony is seen in the celebration of festivals.
Religion in India is characterized by a diversity of religious beliefs and practices.
Her Many Tongues:
The Constitution of India recognizes 23 official languages, spoken in different parts of the country, and two official classical languages, Sanskrit and Tamil. India has "Official Languages” at the state and central levels. “Hindi is the national language.
There is no single Indian language. Instead, India is home to several major languages, the most notable of which are looked at below. More than 20 languages are commonly spoken in India. Such other languages include Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, and Odia. The many languages in India do not hinder communication between different language speakers.
My Dream for My Beautiful Land
But still after all this, India is still not perfect, in fact no country is perfect, some things that I want us Indians to do is:
We should all come together, hand in hand and help eradicate poverty. Poor children who cannot afford to go to school should be provided quality education and life skill training. They should be provided with nutritious food and clean clothes. All these can only be done if we strengthen our bonds and work towards developing our country so that she can achieve more and give a better future for all her kids.
