Republic day is celebrated all over India with great respect and joy. It is celebrated on 26 January. India will be celebrating its 72nd Republic day this year. India was a colony of the British for over 200 years and thus became independent from their rule. India celebrates this date on which the first Constitution of India after independence, came into effect which was on 26, January 1950 and it was prepared by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The celebration starts in New Delhi with the national flag hoisted by the President of India at the Red Fort. After that the parade takes place at Rajpath, New Delhi. The parade is conducted by the Indian President and is arranged by the Ministry of defense. Indian Army, Navy, Air force and Police, marches and it is followed by a 21-gun salute. There would be amazing air force skyshows. And also many state-wise cultural programmes would be displayed. It was also this day in history in 1965 when Hindi was declared as the official language of India.
