‘Tune & Taste-2010,’ a memorable event

Arpan Kuwait celebrated its 11the anniversary “Tune & Taste 2010” presenting a potpourri of cultural programs reflecting the cultural heritage of India. ‘Tune & Taste- 2010’, a festival of food, music and heritage, held at the Indian Community School (Senior Girls), Salmiya on Friday, turned out to be a memorable event. Indian Ambassador Ajai Malhotra was the chief guest of the occasion.
A variety of programs were presented that included Mohiniyattom and Baharatanatyam by children from Nritta Dhyana dance school, Rangapooja and Dhandya Rass by Nritanjali Dance Academy, Song and dance by Ardra Anil, folk song presentation by Salmiya Kids, theatre sketch by Future Eye Theatre, Kuwait, cinematic dance by Atira Sathish, Aroma Sathish and group, classical song by Divya Satheesh and song by Neha Badra.
A magic show held by Raj Kalesh was a major hit during the show.
The major attraction of the event was a musical extravaganza presented by Idea Star singers Roshan, Williams and Neelima who were supported by Poornima and Anjana.

Earlier, Arpan President Dr Radhakrisha Panicker delivered his presidential speech while Program Committee Convener Sam Vilanilam presented an overview of ‘Tune & Taste 2010” program. Gen Secretary Krishnan K Pillai welcomed the gathering. Popular TV Star and Amrita TV fame Raj Kalesh, assisted by Dr Panicker, K K Pillai, Sam C. Vilanilam and Ladies Wing chairperson Manju Sreenath lighted the lamp to officially inaugurate the event. The annual souvenir was released jointly by Cultural Secretary and Souvenir Committee Convener Sajeev K Peter and Advisory Board member and souvenir Committee member K Mahadevan by handing over the first copy to Raj Kalesh. The raffle draw was conducted by its convener Satheesh Prabhakaran. The entire show was brilliantly anchored by Rajeshwari Subbaraman.
Arpan executive members and various program committee heads and members actively worked on and off stage towards the success of the program. They include M. R Sreenath, A.R. Subbaraman, P.A Menon, Mohandas Edappal, Anil Viruvil, Varghese Joseph, Anilkumar Das, Varadarajan, Nagarajan K, Sajeevan C, Mohan K Iyer Sidharth Kuttath, Venkata Krishnan, Ramamoorthi, Anil Attuva and Sunil K Cherian. Ladies wing members Latha Mahadevan, Preetha Satheesh and Lakshmi Anil coordinated various activities.
