KIG Abbasiya area holds Eid Onam meet

Under the auspices of KIG Abbasiya area Eid-Onam meet was conducted at Abbasiya Pravasi Auditorium with variety of programs. Anwar Saed delivered the key note speech and said that we expatriate community have to come out of the man made water tight compartments of communal sectarianism to a free flat form to interact and exchange each others views and thoughts on various issues so has to have a bridge of friendship. The rare festival occasions we gets in our expatriate life should be well utilized for bridging the gap between communities of different faiths, he added. Jayan, Shima, Sunil & Tom participated in the subsequent discussions and expressed their happiness and appreciation for KIG’s various social and charity activities. KIG Acting president Fasial Manjeri presided over the function and in his presidential address he re-iterated KIG’s commitments towards communal harmony, social justice and equality of mankind. Noufal and Sunil entertained the audience with their songs. The program started with recitation of verses from holy Quran by Manaf , KIG Sauhrudha Vedi secretary Ashqar welcomed the gathering.

Later elections were held to form the new committee for Souhruda Vedi, Abbasiya area under the supervision of Faisal Manjeri and Sunil( Convenor) Ashkar (Secretary) Jayan, Shima (Asst Secretaries) were elected as office beares and Kaipattoor thankachan, Sathar Kunnil, Nima, Biju, Hamza payyannur, Warda Anwar,Fathima Azad as committee members. Program ended with vote of thanks by KIG Area Organizer who was also elected as chief patron of Sauhrudha vedi. Traditional Ona Sadhya was also served.
