Kuwait Outdoor Work Hours Restricted from June 1

Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower will enforce the annual midday work ban, prohibiting outdoor labor from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until the end of August. The move, under Administrative Resolution No. 535/2015, aims to shield workers from intense summer heat. Inspection teams will conduct surprise visits to ensure compliance, and legal action will be taken against violators.

As part of the awareness campaign titled "Their Safety Is More Important", multilingual messages will be circulated on social media. Authorities stress that the measure is not to shorten working hours but to ensure worker safety during extreme weather. The initiative aligns with international labor standards and has received positive feedback from businesses in previous years.
