Customs Seizes 3,591 Liquor Bottles Hidden in Shipment of Cable

The General Administration of Customs, with support from the General Fire Force, successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle 3,591 bottles of liquor hidden inside a 20-foot container. The shipment, disguised as reels of solid cables, arrived from abroad and raised suspicion during inspection. A specialized team dismantled the reels and uncovered the liquor, which had been hidden in a highly professional manner to mislead inspectors.

Following a thorough search and confirmation that no additional illegal items were present, authorities coordinated with the General Directorate of Drug Control to begin a full investigation. The individual listed as the shipment recipient was detained for questioning and legal action. Customs officials affirmed their commitment to enforcing strict measures against smuggling and enhancing customs security across all borders.
