It is noteworthy to mention some of the achievements he has done for the society.

Mathi was instrumental in assisting in collaboration with the Indian embassy to ensure the suspension of the death sentences to save the Indians sentenced to death in Kuwait in three different occasions.

He has assisted for the families of Indians who died in Kuwait to receive the death compensation from the company or sponsors though the official channels and so far he has assisted in getting the compensation of more than 3 crores to various affected families.

During the Covid pandemic situation when there were no flight services, Mathi helped for various Indians who are in need of medical help & pregnant women to travel back to India through Vande Bharath with the support of Embassy officials.

In another incident, two children who lost their parents were struggling in Kuwait without having Indian passport; Mathi took up the issue with Indian Embassy and arranged for their passport to travel to India along with adopted parents.

Mathi’s social service activities extend to India also; during the Lockdown in the peak pandemic, he assisted for the 75 members of 35 migrant families struggled in Mumbai-Tharavi to return back to their native district Sivaganga with the support of more than 3 state government officials and it was the first migration in India during the nationwide lockdown.

He provided necessary support for several Indians who were not able return back home for many years due to legal problems, and with the help of Indian Embassy support he assisted for their repatriation.

He was helping the Women & men who came to Kuwait after paying money and duped here by the fake agents to return back to India safely with the help of Indian Embassy; also helping them to get their money back with the aid of the government officials in India.

Mathi was providing all help for the people who have been ill in the hospital for a long time in Kuwait to travel back to India with the support of the Indian Embassy.
In various cases, he has been providing moral support to the sick people who are hospitalized here in the Kuwait hospitals without friends/relatives and helping them to repatriate back to India.

Mathi provides all his services with the help of Indian Embassy and bound to the rules and regulations, both of Indian as well as Kuwait, he takes-up the issue with the officials and follow-up regularly until it gets resolved.

And his efforts with the help of the Indian Embassy to get the compensation due for some workers who died in the accident are pending before the court.
He continues to render countless such priceless favors without any recompense for decades and most of his assistances went un-recorded in the earlier days when there was no social media; no mobile phones with camera. However, we can be sure that it is etched permanently in the hearts and memories of those who were witness to his self-less service.

Mr. Mathi’s immense contribution to the Indian Community over the years had been recognized by various associations like Indian Frontliners (IFL), Kuwait Tamil Sangam (KTS), Tamil Nadu Engineers forum (TEF) & Senthamil Kalai Mantram in Kuwait; and this is the third time that he has been honoured by KTS.
