Commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti at Bhavans SIS KG

Gandhi Jayanti is a special day celebrated every year on October 2nd to remember Mahatma Gandhi, who is called the “Father of the Indian Nation.” Bhavans Smart Indian School celebrated this day in a fun and simple way for young children to understand the significance of the day’s commemoration.







Teachers spoke to the children about Mahatma Gandhi, explaining that he was a kind and peace-loving person who always stood for non-violence and helped others.
Children were engaged in fun activities like colouring the picture of Gandhiji, making a spinning wheel (charkha), with the toothpick and other best out of waste materials. This day hence brought them one step closer to the father of the nation.







The kids were told about the sacrifices done by other Indian freedom fighters like Lal Bahadur Shastri who is known as the Man of Peace. He is also remembered for composing the slogan of “Jai Jawan,Jai Kisan”.
