The Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK) actively participated in a live-streaming session organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The session, titled "Awareness Campaign Against Drug Abuse: Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life," was streamed live on the 'CBSE HQ' YouTube channel at 10:00 AM IST and aimed at spreading critical awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
A total of 420 students from Classes 8 and 9 took part in this important initiative, designed to educate young minds on making informed, healthy choices. The session began with an insightful presentation by Mr. N. Mrinal, Additional Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau, who provided a detailed and impactful overview of the risks associated with drug abuse and the importance of staying drug-free. His message was clear: embracing a life of health and positivity is the key to safeguarding the future.
At ICSK, the event was integrated as part of the Health Club activities, emphasizing the school’s commitment to student well-being. The session kicked off with Mr. Nithin Vadakke Madathil, the Head of the Hindi Department, welcoming the students and setting the stage for the informative session. Dr. Waseem Pathan, a Biology PGT at ICSK, followed with a brief introduction, reinforcing the importance of the topic and the need for students to understand the serious implications of drug use.
This initiative offered ICSK students a valuable opportunity to learn about the risks of drug abuse and the importance of saying no to harmful substances. The live-streaming event highlighted the collaborative effort between CBSE and the Narcotics Control Bureau in tackling this critical issue, and it served as a reminder to students to prioritize their health and make positive life choices. Through such awareness programs, ICSK continues to foster a culture of health, safety, and responsibility among its students.
