School is always fun but one subject always triggers the students to become inattentive in class room. Also called the nap period, it is the worst nightmare of students. Haven't you guessed it yet? Yes, it's the one and only History period! We might wonder "what is so great about learning the facts and dates about World War- I or the life of Rani Laxmi Bhai?" History test is all about memorizing dates and personalities. If you are one of those who thinks like this, then this article will change your perspective towards this subject.
Well, it is not only about attending history tests, but the most important is getting the outcomes of the past. In my first years of learning history, a common question always arised in my class. What's the use of learning history? My history teacher would be fed up answering this question in all the classes but at last answers with a sigh. “See, by learning history, we get to know about to know about the people who used dirty tricks to rule countries, how people used their intelligence to win and the unity and harmony among the people of a country. Without learning history, will we be able to know how the lifestyle of our ancestors was? We can avoid the mistakes our ancestors made and overcome struggles by using their experiences."
Studying history allows us to understand or observe how the societies worked. It builds up critical thinking skills by letting us allow how we would handle the situation in their place. Didn’t we ever think of becoming a king, queen or a freedom struggler during our history class? Learning history incorporates a sense of motivation is us and increases the level of patriotism in an individual.
Well, these benefits should only be taken by the students? Definitely not. Anyone can easily assess different websites, documentaries, and movies on history to fulfill their love for history!
Historical movie is also another way to get to know about the world in the past. Two hours of actual historical thriller movie makes us dive onto the actual event forgetting everything happening around. That's how movies have advanced these days with all the technologies.
