Me time is something to recharge you. Nowadays people are very busy. We should never feel guilty for taking me time. It is necessary for mental and physical health. Me time is not a luxury, It is necessity, your brain and body need to rest and re-energize in order to serve you well. Me time can lead to burnout, exhaustion and more frequent illness. There are disadvantages of not taking me time like stress, irritation and many other health issues.

I want to share with you all my experiences. Due to my busy schedule of studies, activities, I am an artist so I have drawing works, exercise workouts, music classes because of all this I was not getting me time so I was feeling tired, exhausted and stressed and I was not happy doing this works. My mother said me you have to give time to yourself otherwise you will become more weak then I was thinking how to take time for myself . I made a timetable and separated timings for each work. After that every day, I got one hour for myself in which I watch movies, play indoor games, listen to music, read books full of mystery, Sometimes I also bake cakes and cookies with my mother after getting me time I am relaxed and stress-free.

It’s a time to let down your guard, and be less self-conscious. Self reflection gives you a chance to listen to your thoughts and feelings without distractions. It creates a centering and regulating of emotions fostering a sense of peace.

Take a second and review your calendar. How much time did you invest in scheduling meetings project deadlines? Yes, of course definitely it is a part of life. You also need to think about yourself Take me time and plan your goals. Focus on your success and track your progress. In me time you can do what you like in which you feel happy for example, listen to music, read IIK articles, watch television, etc. Making yourself a priority shows other people that you respect your needs.

“Alone time is when you distance yourself from the voices of the world and listen to yourself.”
