KOC Cricket Committee (KOCCC) Organized “Det-Tronics Kuwait Cup 2023”

KOC Cricket Committee (KOCCC) Organized Leather Ball Cricket Tournament (T-20) For Corporate Teams at KOC Cricket Ground-Ahmadi which were officiated by Kuwait Cricket Club Umpires & Scorers under the sponsorship of M/s Det-Tronics – USA.

KOC Cricket Committee headed by Mr. Fahad Al Bastaki (Chairman) and comprising of Mr. Anil Kumar (General Secretary), Mr. Iqbal Pewekar (Treasurer) and committee members Mr. Mukesh Mohammed, Mr. Ajay Sharma, Mr. Rajeev Sachwani & Mr. Chirag Dhandhukiya made sure to conduct a wonderful tournament during summer.

The tournament had 8 Teams participating (KOC, Halliburton, KDC, Heston, Napesco, Heisco, Stork & Almeer) and were played in the evening under lights, due to summer.

The tournament had a total of 21 matches including the Grand Finale, which was played between M/s Heisco & M/s Napesco on 21 Jul’23 under lights and had Live Scoring & Streaming. Around 200+ people consisting of family members, friends and well-wishers had attended the Grand Finale.

Heisco won the toss and chose to bat first putting a total of 119/8 on the board in their stipulated 20 overs. Napesco did well to restrict them to such a small total. However Napesco during their chase were 46/10 in 9.5 overs due to some excellent bowling by Heisco.

Mr. John Peter from Heisco was adjourned “Man Of The Match” for his brilliant batting of 54 Runs in 55 balls which included 2 Boundaries & 2 Sixes.
The Final Presentation Ceremony was carried out by KOCCC members and the Trophies were handed over by Mr. Fahad Bastaki (KOC), Mr. Shaheen N.V (Det-Tronics), Mr. Deepak Eashwar (Det-Tronics) & Mr. Elyas Ahmad Ali (Almeer).

Man Of The Series: Mr. Radha Krishnan (Napesco) (184 Runs & 11 Wickets & 1 Catch & 1 Run-Out)
Best Batsman: Mr. Vineet Khugsal (KDC) (218 Runs)
Best Bowler: Mr. Manoj Kumar (Heisco) (12 Wickets)
Best Fielder: Mr. Shrey Vyas (Heston) (2 WK Catches, 1 Catch, 2 Stumpings & 3 Run Outs)
Tournament WINNERS: HEISCO
Tournament RUNNERS: NAPESCO

The presentation was followed by Dinner for all attendees, players, officials & members of KOCCC.

All the participating teams enjoyed KOC Cricket Committee (KOCCC) warm hospitality throughout the tournament. It was a wonderful experience for the Corporate teams to be part of this tournament.

KOCCC would be coming up with more cricket tournaments in future for Corporate teams.
