ILOA'S Investiture 2023-2024

Indian Learners’ Own Academy held the investiture on 16th May 2023 in the school auditorium for the recognition of the Supreme and Student Council members. The programme was witnessed by the students of class 12 and the house wardens as the audience.

The dignitaries of the event Dr. Anis Ahmed, Principal of Salmiya Indian Model School; Mrs. Manju Nanda, Philanthropist and the Chairman of ILOA, Mr. DK Sharma were welcomed with a token of appreciation. The event commenced with the recitation of Holy Quran and the National Anthem of Kuwait. The audience was then presented with the school song followed by a graceful invocation dance. The ceremony was officially inaugurated with the Lighting of the Lamp by the Principal of ILOA Mrs. Asha Sharma, along with the dignitaries.

The event proceeded with the honoring of the supreme council members with their badges and titles by the Chief Guest, Mr. Anis Ahmed and Chairman, Mr. DK Sharma. The members of the newly elected Supreme council are- President- Anushikha Sreeja Vinod, Head Boy- Ayaan Feroz Baig, Head Girl- Anamika Soman, Vice Headboy- Adithya Narayan, Vice Head Girl- Jane Joby, Sports Captains- Ephraim Jacs and Sarah Saji, Cultural Secretaries- Abiya Martin and Zobya, Literary Secretaries- Inaya Sajid and Sonia Varghese and Vajiha Zamin as the Chief of the Editorial Board.

The house wardens were then called onto the stage to honor their respective house appointees. The most anticipated part of the event- the Oath taking ceremony was administered by the Principal, Mrs. Asha Sharma where the members of the council took a pledge to accomplish their responsibilities to the school with utmost sincerity and dedication.

Dr. Anis Ahmed then graced the audience with his inspiring words, which awoke a sense of responsibility, motivating the students to dream big and turn their vision into realities. Towards the end of the ceremony, the head boy, Ayaan and the head girl, Anamika, spoke on behalf of the council, officially taking over their titles and responsibilities that come with it.
