International Nurses Day Celebration at NIS

International Nurses Day is celebrated on 12th May every year, which is also the anniversary of the birth of nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale. It is a global celebration that acknowledges and celebrates the commitment and bravery of nurses around the world. It is important to celebrate the International Nurses Day in schools, to honour the school nurses for taking care of the children as well as the teachers.
New Indian School celebrated the same, to express their love and gratitude towards nurses. A special assembly was conducted in the Assembly area by the students of Grade VII. It was a memorable day filled with entertainment. The assembly commenced with the Quran recitation, followed by the Prayer song, Kuwait National Anthem, Thought of the Day and News. A short speech was delivered by Hatim.

Dance performance and skit mesmerized the spectators, as the students put their best foot forward. A card and bouquet were given as a token of love and gratitude, to Ms. Nora, the school nurse by the students of Grade VII. The Principal of NIS, Ms. Anita Sadanand addressed the gathering and thanked the school nurse for her great effort in taking care of the students.

The programme ended with the teachers and students, smitten with the fond memories of the day well spent.
