Benediction: An Orientation Programme at SIMS

Salmiya Indian Model School organized “Benediction”, an orientation programme for the students of Grade X and XII CBSE in the school auditorium on 20 March 2023. The Principal and Director, Dr. Anis Ahmad, Vice Principal Senior, Ms. Sajitha Menon, School Counsellor, Ms. Meshael and the parents attended the event. The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects, the rules and regulations of the school and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of students.

The programme commenced with the Holy Quran followed by the Translation and Kuwait National Anthem. Following the Welcome Address by Ms. Varsha, HOD Hindi, a motivational song was rendered by the school choir. The Principal, Dr. Anis Ahmad invoked the blessings of the Almighty by the prayer followed by oath taking. Subject teachers were introduced and were given a token of love. To enlighten the parents, the Vice Principal Senior, Ms. Sajitha Menon briefed the CBSE instructions and Ms. Razeena, HOD Science, briefed the general instructions. The students were explained the making scheme and paper pattern of their respective classes by the subject teachers.

The formal programme concluded with the Indian National Anthem. Overall, it was a fruitful and enriching experience for the parents and students.
