BPP organises Pravasi Mahotsav-2023

Bharathiya Pravasi Parshad organised Pravasi Mahotsav-2023 in Aspire Indian School, Abbassiya on February 23, 2023 in pomp and show.

Mr Kamal Singh Rathore, the first secretary, Embassy of India to Kuwait was the chief guest. Mr Rakesh Tripathi, a spokesperson from the state of Uttar Pradesh, India inaugurated the programme. Mr Reyadh S Ali Al-Edrissi, the deputy Chief Executive Officer, NIG holding company was the guest of honour. Ms Abir Tamim Abdullah, Consular, Embassy of Syria in Kuwait was also present.

“The development process in India is in a fast pace”, said Mr Rakesh Tripathi. “Indian made vaccinations were sent to countries across of the globe and this shows how self-reliant is India now”, he added.

Mr Jithu Mohandas presented the Pravasi Sangeeth Samman to Mr Ranjan Raj, an emerging musician and composer in Indian film industry here.
The Pravasi Samman of the year was awarded to Mr Vava Suresh, an environmentalist in Kerala by the former president of BPP, Adv Sumod, former general Secretary Mr Aji Alappuram and former Sthreesaksthi general secretary Adv Vidya Sumod in Cochin, Kerala and the video was displayed amidst the function.

The singers of the music troop ‘Panchari’ lead by the Mr Aravind Venugopal, an evolving playback singer enthralled the audience. The cultural programmes showcased by the Indian artists in Kuwait also captivated the spectators.

The carnival that exhibited clothes, accessories, paintings, food and more attracted many. Classical and folk dances, music of different genres displayed there from morning to evening mesmerized the spectators.

Mr Binoy Sebastian, President, BPP presided over the function. Mr Sudhir Menon, general secretary welcomed the gathering and Mr Shainu Govindankutty, programme convenor proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs Reshmi Naveen Gopal, Sthreesakthi convenor was also present.
