“The basic teaching of Isalm is to lead a life according to the instruction and will of Allah, the Almighty. the one who obeys Allah’s commands is an obedient and faithful while the other one who disobeys Him is called a disobedient one” were the opening remarks by Mr Malik Moatasim Khan, a renowned scholar from India who attended the program “The message of Isra and Me’raj” as a visiting and guest speaker, conducted by Indian Muslim Association Kuwait (IMA) Kuwait on Thursday 23rd Feb 2023 at 7:30 pm after Esha in Masjid Yousuf Al Adsani Maliya Kuwait City. On this occasion he shed the lights on the series of the events occurred during this miraculous journey.

The keynote speaker further stressed that Allah, the Almighty has shown both the paths of Good & Evil to all the human being since day one by sending His messengers from time to time on this earth, right from Prophet Adam to the last messenger Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for the guidance of mankind and now it is the duty of the people to become a grateful one by choosing the right path or an ungrateful one by going against His instruction on a wrong path.

The guest speaker further elaborated that the event of Isra & Me’raj is one of the biggest turning point in the history of Islam, it was the time when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his followers were going through hard resistance and different types of mental and physical tortures and challenges. This was the time when the Islamic dawah started to reach out of Makkah in other regions of the Arabian Peninsula and the people from other tribes and clans came to hear and started to accept the dawah of Islam one by one. In fact, it was the time which played a decisive role in propagating the message of Islam among the others outside Makkah.

He concluded his speech on this note that we should learn and understand Quran and implement its teaching in our life so that we can bring a change in our society accordingly. Sahaba, the companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) never went to any college and University but they adapted the true spirit of Islam in their life which helped them not only to make them morally strong but also the other people to listen and follow them as a role model in their practical lives.

Mr Nisar Ahmed, another keynote speaker of the program speaking “on the message of Isra and Me’raj” emphasized that the purpose of this journey of Isra and Me’raj was to show prophet Muhammad (PBUH) some of the miracles of this Universe in order to convey this message that nothing is impossible for Allah and He will not leave him as well as his followers alone and helpless at this time of hardship and resistance which they were facing in the streets of Makkah at that time.

He further stressed that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were given three things as a gift in this ascension: He was given five times daily prayers, the last two verses of the chapter of al-Baqara and the promise that the sins of the people from the Ummah of Muhammad (PBUH) would be forgiven except those who died associating partners with Allah on Shirk.

He further went on narrating the series of the events and the observations made to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) about some people who were bad in their lives and engaged in some wrong doing practices like adultery and back biting etc , during this miraculous journey of Isra and Me’raj.
