Mom

“Maluuuu!! What happened here?” Oh God, there she goes again! Well, what fun is there in life without these occasional calls and summons right? Throughout the day, my mom calls out my name about a ten thousand times!! Anyway, I am not here to blab about the science of shouting. Today, when I was shouted at yet again, a match was struck in my mind and a bright fire started. Why shouldn’t I write about my Mummy? Well then, read on!!

All around the world people call their mothers by different names. Mama, Mummy, Mum, Mom, Mommy, Amma and many more. But despite all these different names, every mother’s character is the same. At times, she is the caring, divine darling who draws you near with love and on the other hand, she is the red-hot, monstrous person who causes some of our nervous breakdowns. I compare my mother to a goddess who is fiery during times of anger and an angel when happy.

My mom is a mother to two daughters, me and my younger sister. Yep, she is the one who pushes me continuously to learn my recitations and speeches and she is the one who spend her evenings shouting her throat out at my sister, teaching her three-letter words. Well, she can be the scariest woman at times you know? Hair flying, eyes wide and menancing…

On other days, she is the one who wakes me up with gentle words at 5:30 in the morning, the one who sympathizes with me when I complain of walking home from school, sweating in the hot sun with my 1ton weighing backpack. The one who draws me close to her while I sob my heart out. I cling to her, her familiar smell and sound comforting me…

Even celebs have at least one inspiring story about their mothers. When Yuvraj Singh, the famous Indian cricketer suffered from cancer, he was tired and in a state of fatigue for months. At the time, it was his mother who stayed by his side and helped him through the disease. Just like that, it was Charlie Chaplin’s mother who used to work hard and act onstage to earn their poor family money, till one day, Charlie got onto the stage and discovered his talent. There are many more celebs who love their moms more than their lives. Ariana Grande always works with her mom and Billie Eillish’s short haircut was inspired by her mom. Blackpink member Lisa’s relationship with her mother is always strong and filled with affection wherever she is, even at the other end of the world and even BTS members confessed that their mothers were the ones who taught them the foundation values of their lives.

However they behave to us, we must love our moms. They, according to me, are the most precious little darlings on earth to a child. WE LOVE YOU MOTHERS, FOREVER AND EVER.
