10 year jail for kidnapping and robbing expatriate

The Court sentenced three citizens to 10 years in prison for kidnapping and robbing expatriate by impersonating as detectives, local Arabic daily Al-Seyeassah reported.

The Public Prosecution charged the defendants with kidnapping the expatriate, threatening him, and impersonating policemen to deceive the victim by saying that they would take him to the police station, but they took him to another place, and then stole cash and valuables from him. The defendants have criminal records, the daily added.
